I GET AN MRI EVERY 4 MONTHS TO CHECK ON A BRAIN TUMOR…
Usually everything is consistent, there’s no growth or clear cell activity and I don’t have to worry. My surgery, chemo, radiation, diet, therapy and general life changes have continued to keep this brain alien at bay.
Last summer there was a spot on my scan that caused the doctor some concern. He said to come back in 4 weeks for another MRI to make sure it wasn’t tumor tissue growing. Thus ensued 4 weeks of anxiety, despair, fear, sadness, frustration, deep ketosis, ongoing blood and sugar tests and lots of quiet processing on my own and with loved ones.
Fortunately the next scan was completely clear and whatever had been there 4 weeks before was gone. The challenges and confrontations of the past month were not gone however, once again I had been forced to face my mortality, the immense love and support in my life and contemplate what this dis-ease has to teach me.
Camp Death is a confrontation with mortality as it applies to your personal circumstances and a virtual program designed to support your evolution as you grapple with the delicacy of life in this body.
